Cathleen BeNedetto, ESQ.

Cathleen Benedetto, Esq graduated from Marist College with Honors in 1992 with a Bachelors of Science degree in Criminal Justice. She went on to Regent University in Virginia Beach to earn her JD in 1997. She is licensed to practice law in New York, New Jersey and the Federal Courts of the Eastern District of New York, 2nd Department.

Cathleen began her legal career by representing US Postal Workers under their Voluntary Benefits Plan throughout the 5 Boroughs and Long Island. This practice involved representing Postal Workers in the purchase and Sale of their homes, as well as in Bankruptcy Court, Criminal Court, Family Court, Traffic Court and in the local District Courts for Landlord and Tenant matters, Town Violations, and Small Claims.

Soon thereafter Cathleen was approached by Briarcliffe College in Patchogue to join the faculty as an Adjunct Professor in their Paralegal program. Cathleen taught Ethics, Introduction to Criminal Law and Introduction to Family Law. Cathleen was able to give a real world application to the courses, which included classes held in the Criminal Courthouse in Central Islip.

In 1999 Cathleen opened up her own practice in Patchogue, concentrating on the representation of purchasers and sellers of residential and commercial properties. It wasn't long before she was approached by the mortgage representatives of her clients to act as the lenders attorney for their purchases and refinances.

Since that time Cathleen has closed an average of 200 real estate transactions per year. Her practice thrives on the referrals of past and current clients, mortgage lenders and Realtors. Cathleen often speaks at the request of Real Estate Agents and their Brokers at their office meetings and Homebuyer Seminars.
